Technology/Case Studies
Brake
Tanac is deeply committed to two core technologies—winding and automation—and dedicates itself to the R&D, design, and production of high-end automated equipment. In the automotive industry, Tanaka Seiki boasts extensive experience in equipment manufacturing. Currently, the company has successfully completed the construction of the EMB final assembly and testing line.
Q: What is EMB?
EMB technology (Electro-Mechanical Brake) is a wire-control braking technology that uses electrical signals for control. It directly drives the brake calipers via motors, eliminating the need for hydraulic lines and fluids.
Q: How does EMB differ from traditional braking systems?
EMB is a full-line braking technology that completely eliminates the hydraulic system. Compared to conventional hydraulic brakes, EMB directly drives the brake calipers via electric motors, offering significant advantages such as rapid response time (<100 ms), high control precision (0.1 MPa), and reduced weight (a 30% weight reduction). It is particularly well-suited for intelligent driving scenarios.

Device Details
1. This production line conforms to European standards and was custom-designed by German clients. Based on customer requirements, the entire line features a customized U-shaped design that minimizes its footprint and maximizes space efficiency.
2. The entire production line features a high degree of automation. The main processes are: material feeding—wire winding—automatic coiling—laser welding—laser marking—wire sorting—testing—automatic material discharge.

3. The entire production line boasts high efficiency and stable operation, with a production cycle of 16 seconds per unit.
4. The entire line design adheres to ergonomic principles, and both the workspace and workstation designs take into account the operator’s stability and flexibility, providing operators with ample working space.
5. Each machine on the entire line, as well as every function of each machine, is equipped with a separate functional module that allows independent control with a single click.
